Orzo Studio

Orzo Studio is a ceramics studio owned and managed by Stephen Marder. Orzo Studio is located at 600 Court Street, Portsmouth Virginia 23704.

What does Orzo Studio have to offer?

Membership. A monthly membership program is available for experienced artists working with clay. Full time use of the studio, equipment, firings, glaze, and 50 lbs of clay(per month) are included with membership. Special workshops, raku, and lectures are also part of membership at Orzo Studio.

Wood firing. 1-3 times per year, members and students can participate is wood firings at Stephen Marder's personal studio in midtown Portsmouth.

Visiting Artists. Throughout the year, guest artists are invited to conduct workshops and lectures.

Oppurtunities to show work. Several times a year, the city of Portsmouth has art festivals that attract thousands of people in the streets adjacent to the studio. Orzo Studio has outdoor areas to present work and demostrations during these festivals.
