The three-story building at 288 Linwood Avenue, now home to Oscar’s Bed and Breakfast , is the perfect marriage of Buffalo’s architectural heritage and its current cultural energy. The Second Empire-style home is one of the creations of architect and contractor Oscar S. Lang, known for his work on Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin house. Oscar’s home in the Linwood Historic Preservation District connects it to over 150 years of stunning architecture, upscale cuisine, shopping, universities, and art museums and galleries.

When you’re not exploring the area, you can spend your time at Oscar’s relaxing on the front porch, perusing the library, meeting in the two large, mid-century modern common areas, or adjourning to one of our three lushly decorated suites, each of which features art from contemporary Buffalo artists.
