Another goal of OUR HOME is to create a one-on-one mental health-care treatment for spouses an children of veterans that suffer from PTSD, TBI, and any other service related mental disabilities. We desire to get treatment approved for spouses and children.

There are a large number of veterans who suffer from PTSD that will not seek treatment due to the stigma of mental illness and the fear of the VA because it is a military governmental agency. We are eager to create a co-op program or voucher system that will allow private mental treatment as well. This would help alleviate some of the work load for the VA.

The unique website for OUR HOME will be a great tool for veterans of all capabilities.It will follow a simple process called Mind Mapping which only requires a click to navigate; no typing is required. However, there will also be a section for the more tech savvy veterans to complete searches.

We believe if OUR HOME is utilized correctly, it will reduce the number of veterans that are not seeking treatment, reduce the number of homeless veterans, increase employment, increase volunteering experience, and give hope to veterans that are disabled. OUR HOME will be able to connect veterans with support groups, volunteering and church programs, and improve our veteran's quality of life.

They say that the societies that do not study their histories and learn from it are doomed to repeat it. We are providing better care after each war but keep repeating the cycle of veterans and their families not getting the complete aid they need. It stops HERE. OUR HOME is their HOME, and here they can create endless opportunities.
