The Outboard Boating Club of San Diego is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization with over 100 members. The goal of the OBC is to enhance it's members boating experiences.
Our principal duty is to monitor the Shelter Island public launch ramp and observe the surrounding area with regard to boating safety and general security. Our overall aim is to serve the interests of outboard boat owners, to stimulate a greater interest in boating among all of the citizens in the area served by the Club, to develop a fraternal spirit among local boating enthusiasts, and to help make outboard boating one of the safest sports in the country.
