Overbrook School

Overbrook is owned and operated by The Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia Congregation. Overbrook is a private, co-educational, Catholic school for pre-k through eighth-grade students where children grow in grace and knowledge. Founded in 1936, Overbrook is committed to providing an atmosphere in which children can grow to their fullest potential in all areas: spiritually, intellectual, cultural, physical and social. Students at all levels study religion, art, foreign language, music, computer and physical education in addition to the advanced core curriculum. Parents are an active part of the school, providing hundreds of volunteer hours each year for such events as the annual school musical, book fair, field day, faith rally and more. Extra-curricular activities aim to allow children the chance to further explore their areas of interests whether it is in art, in speech and debate, in music, in athletics, in Scouts or in service. Overbrook graduates go on to attend Nashville’s top high schools and the nation’s best colleges, but more importantly they carry with them a strong Catholic faith foundation and a respect for others that lasts a lifetime.
