Painting the Town Victoria

Canvas, paint, supplies, snacks are provided for the $30 fee- Cash or Checks only. Adults may bring their own alcoholic beverages. Art work is penciled onto the canvas for you. Follow along with our artist as she/he guides us through the project. You are free to make different color choices and other artistic changes. We use water based acrylic paint. It's a NO PRESSURE, relaxing good time. Class starts at 6:30 p.m. doors open at 6:00. In Victoria, classes are held Wednesdays & Fridays at the Victoria Art League 905 S. Bridge Street. We have also started classes in Port Lavaca for the same price, held at the Art Guild on 308 E. Mahan Street also at 6:30 p.m. Those class days will appear in our posted schedule. Sometimes we go to other areas, like Port O'Connor - we need at least 10 participants to travel and a location. Call Eunice to talk about taking us on the road.

Call Eunice at 361-576-4043 by noon the day of the class (but sooner is better) to reserve a place in a class or for more information on private parties. We appreciate payment in advance, but if you are from out of town you can pay that night. We take cash and checks. The schedule is posted on Facebook about twice a week. Painting the Town Kids' Classes is something new we have started. Classes are once a month. We plan to have them more often a little later on. These classes are 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 (same price as adults). This class is for ages 5 and up and a parent may help the child if necessary. Adults are also welcome to paint on these days.

Private parties can be booked with a minimum of 10 canvases ($30 each) and the host can choose a subject from any of the ones we have already done. Private parties require a $100 deposit with the balance due the date of the party. Cancellations must be a week before the date to have the deposit returned. Private parties can be booked on days other than the Wednesday & Friday classes including weekends, as long as the Victoria Art League is available.

There is an album in our "picture" area that shows all of the subjects we have done so far and it will be continuously updated. So if you are thinking about a private party, look at that album for ideas. You can also provide an "inspiration" photo for the artist to use in creating an original subject for your party for the group (we can't do multiple original subjects for one party but we can do multiple subjects of paintings we've already done).
