More about Paintsville Celebrate Recovery of Encounter Missions

Welcome to the FB Page of the Paintsville Celebrate Recovery of Encounter Missions. My name is David Castle, I serve as Pastor of this Ministry.

Paintsville Celebrate Recovery came about through the leading of the Holy Spirit in various ways and by placing the need upon the hearts of several individuals. The Lord was building a Team and would later bring it together.

I first became aware of Celebrate Recovery on my Emmaus walk and it was after that God began prompting me to start one, but it wasn't until a trip in late summer of 2009 to Casa Grande, Arizona that He made His will CLEAR. On the flight out He reminded me again what He had already said many times before. But as always my answer was, "Lord, I'm really busy, I'm teaching, and preaching and..." Once again I thought that was it. However; A few nights into the 1st Annual Arizona Storm Festival, the original purpose of the trip or so we thought my wife, Beth and I were sitting in an open field listening to our son lead worship, a man from out of no where, a total stranger stooped down on one knee beside us and said, "So I hear you're going to start a Celebrate Recovery".

Needless to say after returning home I was willing to do whatever God was leading.
After sharing with our then Pastor, Don Barnett and our family Churches, God's Team for Celebrate Recovery was coming together. I attended a training in Fort Wayne, Indiana on how to begin this CELEBRATE RECOVERY, a ministry that would soon become a huge part of our lives.
The official CR team and Board was formed, Janie and Frank Heaberlin, Debbie and Phillip Trimble, my wife Beth and myself, a group of six people who shared a common passion, to help those who were suffering and to teach them of the one true Higher Power Jesus Christ. We were really good friends from the beginning but after a year of training and working the 12 Steps together we became more like family, a bond was formed that year and a fire ignited within that helped to prepare us for this new Journey... and in January 2011 Paintsville Celebrate Recovery Began.
