Palmer Beach / Sea Ray Beach

Jim Palmer (boat named "Foozy" at the time, and then "Tranquility" there after) cleaned the beach of brush, trees, stick, rocks, and shells in 1960. His family and friend's started frequently using the sandy beach from 1960 - 1969 Randy Palmer and Cindy Palmer are his only two children. In 1980 Randy Palmer started using the spot again on a regular basis with the purchase of several boats (Paradise). In the 1985 Jim's daughter Cindy Hunt, and her husband Mark Hunt started using the beach as well in there first Sea Ray (The Great Escape) with there children Jennifer Hunt Harp, and Harley Hunt. In 1988 Larry Long (Longs Lady) and his family started using the beach as well and was friends with Mark & Cindy. This new friend ship is what grew the crew using the beach, and Larry started calling it Sea Ray Beach because of the large number of Sea Rays all ways tied up every weekend. Even flying a Sea Ray flag from the angle Iron Flag pole. During this time frame steps where carved in the bank so people could get to the grassy field above, and a sender-block grill was built into the bank for large cook outs. 4X4 post where drove into the ground to give each boat 2 stern tieing off points as well. Later TVA tore the posts, grill, and Flag pole down. By 1997 it was back to just the Plamer's. Randy and Cindy Palmer continued to use the beach through out the time span with both Cindys children as well. Jennifer Harp started using the beach with her husband Mike Harp in 2005 with the purchase of there first boat ("Xta Sea", now they are know as "Un-Civil-ised"). Harley Hunt started using it on his own in 2006 with the purchase of his own boat (OBNOXIOUS). Larry Long had 2 children as well, they started back using the beach after a reunion by chance at a NABA poker run with Harley Hunt and Dustin Long in 2006 (Long Overdue). Jason Long (Unknown boat name, solid black Ski Nautique) followed suit.
