Palmetto High School is a high school located in Palmetto, Florida. The school's athletic teams are known as the Tigers, and the school colors are red, white, and black. The school's principal is former NFL player Willie Clark. The school currently serves over 2,000 students in grades 9 through 12. Palmetto High School was originally opened in 1957 and rebuilt in 1999. They have also recently built a new auditorium. They have also built new rooms and hallways. The school's JROTC program (known as the Tiger Battalion) is the best in Florida, which has a winning streak for rifle in their county and district meets. They have competed at the state level in Raiders for the past five years. The drill team is also undefeated at the county and district level for the past 10 years and have placed among the top three teams at the state-level for the last 7 years. Also with a awesome track team goinig to states 4 year in a row and Soccer goin to the final 4 2 year in a row.
