Panhandle Equality

Panhandle Equality is a new non-profit community organization located in the Nebraska Panhandle whose mission is to advance LGBTQ equality through advocacy, education and community service.

Our new organization began as a small group of dedicated LGBT individuals and allies in 2015 to host an LGBTQ Pride Picnic. Our first Pride Picnic was held in August 2015 in Gering, Nebraska. Nearly 150 individuals from 3 states attended the event and set the stage for our 2nd Annual Pride Picnic this past August, which drew more than 200.

Panhandle Equality is a Fund of the Oregon Trail Community Foundation (OTCF) located in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. OTCF is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) and this will allow Panhandle Equality donors to make tax deductible contributions to our organization.
