Panola County Extension, Family Consumer Science

We offer workshops, clinics, radio programs, newspaper articles and guest speakers to update clientele. Issues for educational programs are identified by local community leaders who assist in marketing and implementing programs. Currently we are emphasizing Health and Wellness. Our vision is to help Panola County to become an example of wellness for other counties our size in the state of Texas. Residents recently walked over 25,000 miles for Walk Across Texas to create a new healthy personal habit of daily physical activity.
