More about Parker County Baseball/Softball Academy

Psalm 96:12 "Let the field be joyful, and all that is in it."

Parker County Baseball Academy exists to help young athletes learn, develop and grow in all aspects of the game, and of life. Through Humility and Hard Work we will strive toward excellence, both on and off the field.

"P-Co." is a 13,000 sqft heated and cooled indoor facility focused on providing baseball and softball instruction to Parker County and surrounding areas. Our Pro Staff are available for lessons, camps, clinics and specialized programs that will enhance the skill level of any aged player. We also have 4 acres of Outdoor Field Space for practice utilization for our members.

Parker County Baseball Academy offers lessons in pitching, hitting, catching, and fielding from some of the best instructors in the area. Our highly effective instruction methods are under the supervision of former Professional Pitcher and Coach, Blake McGinley.

Blake was selected by the NY Mets in the twenty-first round in 2001 out of Texas Tech University where he was second team All Big 12. Blake was a professional left-handed pitcher for seven seasons, six seasons with the New York Mets organization and one season with the Florida Marlins. He posted a 41-23 record with a cumulative ERA of 3.18 over the seven season including appearing four seasons in AAA. Blake was a pitching coach for the Miami Marlins organization for three years (2010-2013). He mentored first-rounder Jose Fernandez who posted a 6-0 record and a 1.34 ERA with 84 strikeouts to 16 walks in 67 innings while he was with the Grasshoppers and made his major league debut in 2013. Fernandez went on to become MLB Rookie of the Year in 2013. He also mentored first-rounder Adam Conley who posted a 6-2 record with a 2.56 ERA while with the Grasshoppers. Conley was called up last June, making his major league debut with the Marlins. He coached Andrew Heaney in 2012. Heaney is currently pitching for the Angels.
