Station 17 is staffed 24/7 with 100% paid professional Firefighters who are cross trained as EMTs or Paramedics. Station 17 was built in 1982. Since then, we have been proudly serving the areas of Veterans Villiage, Trinity, Elfers, Virginia City, Millpond, Oak Ridge, Seven Springs County Club, Park Lake Estates, Wood Trail Village and Heritage Lakes. We also protect Seven Springs Elementry and Middle, J.W. Mitchell High School, Chick-Fil-A, La Casa Grande, Lifecare center, Trinity Regional Rehab, Consulate Healthcare, Sunset Bay Nursing Home, and many other restaurants and businesses.
We provide advanced life support, fire suppression, vehicle extrication, and various other types of emergencies daily.
Our station houses Engine 17, a 2014 E-one Typhoon class 800 gallon pumper, for fire suppression, vehicle extrications and medical emergencies; Rescue 17, 2013 Freightliner for medical emergencies, transportation to hospitals and manpower for structure fires; Brush 17, a Ford F550, for wildland fires; Tanker 17, a 1500 gallon tanker for a mobile water source to areas without fire hydrants.
