We are not a mental health provider. We provide Pastoral Peer Counseling to any individual seeking Biblical Counsel on life's challenges.

Dedicated to excellence, the Pastoral Counseling Center of the Cumberland Plateau is a ministry of the Cumberland Plateau Baptist Association of churches. Our mission is to provide skilled pastoral care for the people of Cumberland and surrounding counties. We serve persons from all faith perspectives, including those without religious affiliation. In historic pastoral tradition, every person is God's creation, confidences are a sacred trust, and hope reigns eternal.

This ministry receives support from counseling fees, the Cumberland Plateau Baptist Association budget, and contributions from area churches and individuals. We make certain that no one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

There are two ways to make an appointment for counseling services. Each counselor sets his or her own appointments, so you can call them directly to arrange an appointment. Or you can call the CPBA office at (931) 484-1858. The Ministry Assistant will take your name and phone number, then refer to the appropriate counselor.

Carolyn Scott is credentialed as a Pastoral Counselor and is commissioned under the authority of the National Conservative Christian Church. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and is certified in Addiction recovery. She is also a member of the National Christian Counselors Association and has earned their Advanced Certification in Substance Abuse and Addiction Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy. She has broad experience in human services work and ministry in several settings in Cumberland County. Her work has prepared her to deal effectively with women's issues, and she combines her extensive training with Biblical wisdom in her work. Carolyn can be reached at cell phone (931) 787-9033.
