Pathogenes Inc

Pathogenes Inc. was founded in 1999 and is dedicated to the development of reagents to diagnose, treat, and prevent animal diseases. Pathogenes Inc. works with industry partners to facilitate development of their projects. Our ability to apply innovative techniques has helped produce novel products that benefit the animal health industry. We have active, collaborative partnerships with researchers in industry, universities, and individuals in the United States and Europe. We offer tech support to veterinarians that use our technology at our laboratory hotline.

Pathogenes developed surface antigens from Sarcocystis neurona, for antibody detection in serum and CSF. We also created an equine animal model to advance the study of equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM) in horses. A reliable animal model allowed us to recognize early signs of EPM facilitating the design of early treatment protocols. Our animal model is used by industry partners to determine pathogenesis of disease as well as treatment and vaccine efficacy in horses.

Pathogenes recognized and developed novel tissue culture techniques that are used to create new parasite vaccines. We continue to develop protocols and products that facilitate the understanding and treatment of disease and license our technology to further the health and well-being of animals.
