I am so excited about my new career in skin esthetics. I have always been a skin care junkie, researching the latest and greatest anti-aging healthy skin care options. After selling my business of 15 years and unsure of what to do next, a friend suggested I follow my passion. At age 52 I enrolled in esthetics school where I excelled. I am a State Board Certified Licensed Esthetician.

When I began school I thought I would be learning about skin care ingredients, their benefits, and how to perform various skin treatments. Wow! To my surprise it was a mini science/medical course along with learning ingredients and treatments. My biggest eye opener was that the majority of all skin care products cannot or will not penetrate to the skin’s live tissue where changes to the skin can actually occur! It was so hard for me to wrap my head around. I felt outrage! What? I have believed the hype and spent my hard earned money on products that really cannot do as marketed or advertised? The changes that these products make are only on our top layer our Stratum Corneum which are dead skin cells. Our skin has 5 layers before reaching the dermis. These products can make dead skin cells feel more smooth, supple and appear less wrinkled and even lighten hyperpigmentation (age/sun spots) but they can not penetrate to live tissue to normalize and change skin. I felt defeated and confused. One day a Sales Rep with Environ Skin Care came to talk to our school regarding their products. I was half heartedly listening until he said that their skin care is a true medical grade and how their products, one of the few that can penetrate to the skin’s live tissue necessary to normalize skin and make changes. He said, “Environ…We change skin”. I sat straight up and listened. I could not get enough. Environ has an intense training course that I enrolled and graduated. I then purchased the products I felt I needed and after a year I changed my own skin. I now knew my calling and passion…To Change Skin! I knew I was only going to work with a medical practice or medical spa that used Environ products. If not, then I was not going to work in the skin care industry. I was not interested in putting “Lipstick on a pig”. I wanted to change damaged, aged, problematic skin into healthy beautiful skin as I have my own.

I am thrilled to announce that I have recently taken a position with Results Medical Spa in Carrollton. A spa dedicated to Serious Skin Care. We are a results driven clinical spa. We help rewind time. Our skin therapists are extensively trained in preventive and corrective skin care. Our focus is to help our client’s achieve their optimum skin appearance through customized professional and home care regimens. We strive to educate on the science behind beautiful healthy skin.

I am so happy! I get to work with Environ Skin Care products and I now change skin daily!
