About the owner: We are a simple family, we live in a log home just across the pasture from Pawpa's house. More times then not we will be available should you have any needs during your stay. If we are not around we will always have someone on call to assist you with any of your needs. we hope you find a time of rest and peace during your stay at Pawpa's house.

Why the Owner Chose Canton:
Several years back my husbands father came to live with us after he became ill. We were concerned that he would need a little more 'space' then our growing family could offer him. So we began to brainstorm and my husband came up with the idea of moving an old home onto our property and 'fixing it up' for Pawpa, so the story begins! Pawpa was a farm boy at heart but had lived in Fort Worth for many years as a successful attorney, so we wanted to offer him the country life he had grown up with while still offering him some of the things he had grown accustomed to in the city. He loved to look out over the pastures and watch the sun set, and in my opinion you will find no better place in the county to watch the sun set then on Pawpas porch! After he was called home by our Father, in August of 2007 we had an empty spot in our hearts and an empty home. Over the years it has served many roles, as we have 8 children ranging from 25yrs to 5yrs, it obviously has come in handy for transitional times for our older kids and for holiday overflow! But now my husband and I find ourselves with only 2 little guys left at home with us in a home built for 8 kids and an empty guest house! With that said we decided it was time to share Pawpa's house with others in hopes that you might find the same joy in it that we found fixing it up and sharing it with him.

The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
We left the wood floors in the home very rustic just like Pawpa liked with only one room carpeted. You will find all the modern conviences in the kitchen with a county style island and multiple channels on the TV's for your enjoyment as well as a hot tub to finish off that last bottle of wine for the day. A large walk in shower is available in one bathroom while a shower/jacuzzi tub awaits you in the other. We also offer highspeed internet if you need to stay connected while you are away. A full size laundry room is available as well. We do not offer 'breakfast' as we feel when we go away for a weekend or week long trip we would rather not be on someone elses schedule, so you can feel free to whip yourself up the breakfast, lunch or dinner of your liking without anyone bothering you!
