Peace and Plenty Farm is a small, family run farm in Tyner, North Carolina. We are home to free range chickens, grass-fed cows, bumbling bees, geese, and a few peacocks. We sell our multicoloured free-range eggs at 5 Points Farmer's Market in Norfolk, Va. as well as 21-day, dry aged, grass-fed, hormone free, pasture raised beef; raw, unfiltered, local honey and goose eggs in the Spring.
Our Farm began as a sandy field; the soil had been stripped of nutrients from over farming by the previous owners. Over 11 years, our mission has been to transform the earth back into healthy soil that could sustain natural growth. About 3 years after we bought the farm, we decided to get 3 cows and 10 chickens, and it's grown from there. We now have around 150 chickens and 25 cows, 6 bee hives, 12 geese, and 3 peacocks.
