If you're looking for peace and quiet, our Peaceful Retreat is what you are looking for! We are located just 2 miles from the traffic light in Downtown Newberry.

Newberry is a charming, quaint little town which has a grocery store, Subway, Dollar General, the famous Backyard Bar B Q, Little Caesars Pizza, Five Star Pizza, Cilantro's Tacos, Mexican Restaurant and Villagios Italian Restaurant. There is also a local's favorite hometown restaurant. There are shops to explore while visiting.

We are very convenient to Champions/Nations Baseball Park, Easton Olympic Archery Complex and only 4 miles to Canterbury Horse Showplace Arena.

Our apartment is convenient to the University of Florida and Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Home of the Florida Gators, with just a short 20 mile drive.

Gainesville attractions include Kanapaha Park, Payne’s Prairie, Dudley Farm Historic Site and Millhopper State Park, Gainesville's Museum of Natural History and Butterfly Atrium and Gator Nationals NHRA race track, . Many shopping options include The Oaks Mall, Butler Plaza shopping district and many others. There are many antique shops and thrifts in the area for browsing.

The Phillips Center for Performing Arts, Florida Museum of Natural History, Harn Museum and Butterfly Atrium should not be missed during your stay.

High Springs is a short 15 minute drive with antique shops, several restaurants and many natural springs to explore . Local springs and rivers include Devil's Den (in Williston), Ichetucknee, Ginnie, Blue, Hart, Manatee and Poe . The Ichetucknee River and Santa Fe River are excellent choices for tubing and kayaking.

Cedar Key and the Gulf of Mexico is a short 45 minutes to the West. Crystal River and it's manatees are a short drive South. Manatees can be seen in many of our local Springs during colder months. Historic Micanopy with it's wonderful shops, Silver Springs with the beautiful Silver River, and Ocala with its beautiful horse farms are a short drive Southeast.

Orlando theme parks are a short 2 hour drive South. Daytona Beach, Crescent Beach and historic St. Augustine Beach are 1 1/2 hours East.

Our property of canopied oaks is private with 8 acres and is very peaceful and quiet. We have spectacular sunset views. Enjoy sitting on your private deck watching the birds, enjoying solitude, relaxing and cooking on your charcoal grill.

Our attached luxury apartment is completely private with private parking, private deck and separate entrance. It has 1 bedroom with queen bed and a large bath with tub/shower combination. Slate floors with carpeted living room and bedroom. Fully equipped kitchen has stainless appliances including refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, smooth top range and large oven, garbage disposal and dishwasher. All kitchen items are supplied. It includes a large living room with leather furniture, flat screen tv, Directv satellite television. Free WIFI is also included. The laundry room houses a washer and dryer. The apartment can accommodate 4 with the use of nice twin air mattresses we provide.

Our minimum stay is 1 night. We welcome weekly and monthly rentals (not exceeding 3 months). We do not offer long term rentals.

1 night minimum @$80 per night, $500 per week plus applicable taxes, Rates are higher for UF Football Weekends.

Pets are not allowed, a colony of outdoor cats are present on our property.
