An old fable tells the story of a mother pelican providing selflessly to her young in time of need. This nurturing pelican reminds us to be wise and gracious in the way of caring for ourselves and others.

Over the years, our patients have entrusted us with their personal stories revealing many acts of selfless giving. In honor of our beautifully nurturing patients, we are Pelican Health.

ABOUT US

Pelican Health is a comprehensive pelvic health and continence center in Bismarck, ND. We bring together a unique and dedicated team with over 25 years of combined experience to deliver advanced and non-surgical treatments for a variety of pelvic health and bladder disorders. Our collaborative network of nurse practitioners is in a private practice for a reason–to be recognized and respected as the region’s choice for quality and accessible healthcare. WHO ARE WE?

~ Melanie Schlittenhardt, NP, DOCTOR OF NURSING PRACTICE

Melanie Schlittenhardt is a board certified Nurse Practitioner and Doctor of Nursing Practice. She has 15 years of clinical practice with the pelvic floor. Melanie’s areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of urinary and fecal incontinence, including urodynamic testing, biofeedback, electrical stimulation, InterStim therapy and pessary placement. She also manages specialty disorders including interstitial cystitis, sexual dysfunction, recurrent urinary tract infections, and vulvodynia.

Melanie is an active member of the Society of Urologic Nursing, American Nurses Association, North American Menopause Society and North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association. She speaks in areas of her expertise on a local and regional level. She is a published author in Urologic Nursing and a recipient of the North American Menopause Society-Pfizer Reporter Award.

~ Kendra Roloff, NP, MBA

Kendra Roloff is a board certified Nurse Practitioner. She has been providing pelvic health and continence care for 10 years. Kendra has professional interests in urodynamic testing, pelvic floor rehabilitation, postpartum pelvic floor disorders, pelvic pain, and pelvic organ prolapse. Kendra is dedicated to delivering high quality, dignified care to her patients. She believes empowering individuals through education is the key to success.

Kendra was born and raised in Bismarck, ND. She graduated from Creighton University with a bachelor of science in nursing and biology, University of Nebraska Medical Center with a Master of Science in Nursing, and Western Governors University with a Master of Business Administration. Kendra is honored to provide pelvic health and continence care to individuals in the community.

~ Becky Gottschalk, CMA

Becky Gottschalk, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), has been working in healthcare for the past 18 years. Becky’s background includes internal medicine, occupational health and obstetrics/gynecology. Through her ventures, she has gained dedication to women’s health and has a special interest in Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation, a treatment for overactive bladder. She is an advocate for affordable and quality care. Becky enjoys treasuring the little things in life; making a person’s life a little more “simple” is a successful day.
