Pengo Corporation

In 1950, Pengo was established near San Francisco, California, as a manufacturer of utility industry equipment that was used to pull high-tension voltage transmission lines. While developing strong working relationships in the utility industry it was noted that there was a need for quality auger attachments for the utility construction and foundation drilling industries.

The original Pengo patent for the earth auger was issued in 1951 and from this point on Pengo began to develop high-quality augers that would drill more efficiently in various soil conditions. Pengo has continued to manufacture augers and wear parts and has held over 150 patents most of which are still the basis for the today’s drilling standards.

Today, Pengo is one of the largest manufacturer of augers and related wear parts in the world, serving the utility, construction, agriculture, foundation, and major worldwide OEM customers. Our products are available through a network of over 500 dealers and OEM manufacturers. The product line has expanded to include a complete line of foundation drilling equipment and hydraulic drive units for drilling and anchor installation.

Pengo is headquartered in Laurens, IA, and has an additional manufacturing facility in Cokato, MN. We are able to ship most stock orders within 24 hours.
