Student Success Services (SSS) is funded through a federal TRIO grant competition, which awards funds to institutions of higher education to provide opportunities for academic development, to assist students with basic college requirements, and to motivate students toward the successful completion of their post-secondary education. SSS projects also may provide grant aid to current participants who are receiving Federal Pell Grants.
SSS offers advising provided by professional staff and student peers; presents seminars on academic, career, financial, and social opportunities; provides study spaces, computers and printing; hosts social and academic events; and coordinates a summer math program for eligible incoming first year students.
