Pennyroyal Farmstead and Winery is committed to producing handcrafted wine, cheese and farmstead fare exclusively from our estate farm in Boonville, California.

Owner Sarah Bennett oversees the entire operation & manages the vineyards, all while producing our small-lot estate wines. Cheesemaker and herd-master Erika McKenzie-Chapter runs both the creamery and the dairy, allowing her to select genetic and supplemental diets for elevated cheese production. Our luxuriously pampered goats and sheep munch on wild grasses and Pennyroyal mint that blanket our sixty-six acre farmstead and vineyard. The milk from our animals is transformed into both fresh and aged cheeses just steps from the animals' pastures. Like our grapes, Pennyroyal cheeses reveal a strong sense of place. By integrating animal husbandry and viticulture, we avoid the pitfalls of mono-culture--each farming endeavor enhances and compliments one other. In addition, our farmstead also has an ever-growing culinary garden to compliment our wine & cheeses, all the while showcasing a taste of place. Our estate chef, Elizabeth Leas produces a wide array of seasonal fare, centered around our bountiful farmstead.
