About me;
My name is Jenny Lavender and I have been helping friends and family with basic obedience for approximately 15 years. Over the years I have self studied K9 behavior through every resource I could get my hands on. I have obtained a 64 hr. K9 training certification through Angelina College. I currently volunteer my time and personal pets with an organization out of Shreveport doing Drug interdiction, and search and rescue. I am knowledgeable on most dog breeds along with their characteristics.

Just like raising children, I have discovered that raising pets takes time, patience and lots of supervision. It is my goals to help pet parents better understand what their pets are trying to tell them, and help them speak the language their pets can better understand.

Pet training rules I live by

I strongly believe in positive reinforcement training
Treats are great motivation, but love and affection are the ultimate reward. Your pet’s greatest ambition is to make you happy.
I advocate the PROPER use of slip leads, choke collars and pinch collars ONLY if the owner is willing and able to safely implement these tools.
Your pet loves you everyday; investing time to work with your pet daily tells them that you love them too.

The only negative reinforcement I condone is a collar tap, turning your back to the animal, or using or refusing eye contact.
PAIN IS NEVER USEFULL IN SUCCESSFUL PET COMUNICATION!!!! If, as a child, you touched a hot burner on a stove, you learned that the hot stove was dangerous and to be avoided. The same is true with anything that physically or emotionally hurts a pet.
I do not address dog aggression issues.

Areas where I can help you and your Pet Succeed.

• Socialization with other people and pets
• Potty training
• Leash manners
• Basic Obedience: sit, stay, lay down, watch me, leave it, heel, ect.
• Advance Obedience: roll over, take it, touch it, just about anything your dog can achieve based on its physical limitations, we can work on.
• Correcting behavior quirks, excessive barking, chewing, jumping on people, ect.
• Anything you would like to address about your pet we can discuss in our initial consultation, or at a later session.


At the current time my rates are $25 per session, per pet ($10 per additional pet), depending on location. Session times are 45 minutes to 1 hour. My goal is to not overload you or your pet with too much at one time. I am currently only serving within Longview, and Marshall city limits and all areas in-between. You may schedule as many or as few sessions as you deem fit.
These are introductory rates and are subject to change as well as location availability.
