Peterman's Boards and Bowls create beautiful products from the fallen and disfigured logs found in our New England woods. The product from being turned on the lathe produces striking items that show off the natural beauty of the tree. Our creative staff have designed not only bowls of various sizes but sushi boards, bottle stoppers, apple trays, salad tossers and cutting boards.
The wood often comes from fallen trees in backyards and woods, deteriorating, disfigured and moss covered. Our stock is of maple, black walnut and cherry and burls of any kind.
Spencer Peterman started the business in the late 1900's making Nantucket baskets. Wanting to diversify, he learned to turn a lathe and started a wholesale business.
