There truly are very few "bad" dogs. There are dogs who are more difficult to train. There are dogs who are "hard-headed." There are dogs who are badly bred or socialized or abused or have behavioral issues that make them difficult to live with.

What I (and your dog) need you to know is that nearly EVERY dog can be trained or rehabilitated, provided it is physically healthy. (ie: no brain tumors or certain other health issues that affect behavior.)

The fact is also that many "difficult" dogs are actually extremely intelligent. The reasons for their misbehavior stem from exactly that--their high intelligence. Their need for mental stimulation is the cause of the "rotten behavior" they evidence in the home.

Understanding how dogs think, how they communicate those thoughts and how to use that knowledge to "talk back" to them is key to establishing and maintaining a solid, loving bond between dog and owner.

I am also an animal communicator, though that's a whole lot less "woo-woo" than you might think. Dogs do sometimes project their feelings and wants and needs to us in an almost psychic manner, but the majority of what animal communication actually consists of is "reading" a dog's postures, facial expressions and behavioral cues to understand what the dog is telling us.
