Why Join Phi Psi?

Phi Kappa Psi is a Brotherhood of men that follow a strict code of honor, integrity, and service. Here are a few of the benefits of being a brother of the Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity:
1) You will develop a strong bond with the other brothers of the chapter that will last your entire life.

2) Phi Kappa Psi provides an exceptional opportunity to undergraduate students at Lycoming for real-world business experience in chapter and committee meetings.
3) Many former Phi Psi's have become highly successful in their respective fields of expertise including:
a) President Woodrow Wilson and other governors, supreme court justices, and legislators.
b) John F. Kennedy Jr. and many other very influential business men including numerous CEO's and presidents of fortune 500 companies.
c) Current and former presidents of over 15 colleges or universities including Princeton and MIT.
d) Numerous screenwriters, actors, and poets including Tom Parker and Peter Graves.
e) Many influential men in sports including Olympic gold-medal winner Mark Spitz, Jerry Colangelo of the Phoenix Suns, Heisman trophy winner Nile Kinnick, and numerous other athletes including Jeff Cirillo and Coach Terry Bowden.

4) Phi Kappa Psi was the first Fraternity with the idea of going National. Alongside that, we have the largest endowment fund of any other Fraternity in the nation, which allows us access to many scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.

5) Phi Kappa Psi features an opportunity for undergraduate students to go to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico every winter for a week-long workshop for improving individual chapters and helping out life decisions.

Phi Kappa Psi Creed

I believe that Phi Kappa Psi is a brotherhood of honorable men, courteous and cultured, who pledge throughout their lives to be generous, compassionate, and loyal comrades;

I believe that I am honor bound to strive manfully for intellectual, moral, and spiritual excellence; to help and forgive my Brothers; to discharge promptly all just debts; to give aid and sympathy to all who are less fortunate;

I believe that I am honor bound to strengthen my character and deepen my integrity; to counsel and guide my Brothers who stray from their obligations; to respect and emulate my Brothers who practice moderation in their manners and morals; to be ever mindful that loyalty to my Fraternity should not weaken loyalty to my college, but rather increase devotion to it, to my country, and to my God;

I believe that to all I meet, wherever I go, I represent not only Phi Kappa Psi, but indeed the spirit of all fraternities; thus I must ever conduct myself so as to bring respect and honor not to myself alone, but also to my Fraternity;

To the fulfillment of these beliefs, of these ideals, in the noble perfection of Phi Kappa Psi, I pledge my life and my sacred honor.

Local History:

Recongized as a colony at Lycoming on March 7th, 2002. The Penn Phi chapter of Phi Kappa Psi was finally chartered on March 20th, 2004. The chapter at Lycoming is built on the idea of community service and helping others in the Lycoming Community and Williamsport area. We develop the strong brotherhood of other Phi Kappa Psi brothers across the nation in our small school in Williamsport, Pa.
