Scarlett has been a professional photographer for the last 19 years, having traveled from New York to Peru, Costa Rica France, Italy and Ireland to take master classes. Having studied with Mary Ellen Mark, Joyce Tenneson, Josephine Sacabo, Jock Sturges, Keith Carter, Joyce Wilson and Adam Weintraub (among others), Scarlett brings an award-winning, fine-art sensibility to her work, whether working with infants or young adults or parents and children. A specialist in fine printing, Scarlett takes pride in shooting film and digital having spent considerable time creating in the darkroom. Being trained in a black and white darkroom when she began her business was a gift. Being able to produce fine art images in the darkroom is now considered a fine-art craft. She also has embraced digital photography and loves the artisitic possibities that digital techniques bring to fine art portraiture. With that said, and with technology and revolution of the digital camera, she will always stay true to the essence of portraiture, which will be classical and eloquent as portraits from the late 1800's,
Scarlett is available for sessions Tuesday-Saturday.
