The Senior Center has several programs available to Pickaway County Seniors age 60 and over. Our services include: Adult Day Care, Congregate and Home Delivered Meals, Homemaker Services, Transportation and Supportive Services. The Pickaway Senior Center is a 501 ( c )(3) tax –exempt, non-profit organization. We are supported by financial contributions from the following: Title III administered through the Ohio Department on Aging, Funds from a senior levy passed by Pickaway County Voters, Private Donations & Fundraisers and the United Way of Pickaway County. No one is denied service due to inability to pay, but contributions to our programs help to keep them operational.
The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program has been mandated by the Older Americans Act to serve as a visible advocate for the elderly. The program assists residents and prospective residents of nursing homes, rest homes, adult care facilities, and clients of community-based services by providing the following support: complaint investigation, information and referral, education and advocacy.
