More about Pierpont Video Productions

Owner Ric Pierpont:
"I started making videos when I was a tennis professional 20 years ago to help people improve their game. In many ways, we are still doing the same thing. We're helping people get their ideas out to the world in a clear and professional way.
After moving to northern Michigan in 1988, we helped Boyne USA with their video presence and for 10 years did a weekly update for their guests on the in-house television station. Each week we provided skiers and golfers with a memory of their visit that they could bring home with them. We started filming conferences while at Boyne and have been working with various conferences and speakers around the country for the past 15 years.
We collaborate with many area businesses creating TV commercials and promotional videos for them. We have worked with area schools and churches for their special concerts and events. Several start-up companies have come to us to get their new product out to the world and some have even grown internationally. We have filmed the Young Americans and Bay View Handbell concerts for over 15 years with 4 to 6 live cameras for each shoot and have enjoyed working with each of the performers, helping many with their promotional DVDs. Each day we meet and work with a multitude of people who want to transfer their old movies or tapes to a format they can view and preserve.
Twelve years ago we were privileged to film our first PBS special and traveled twice to Madeira off the coast of Africa to help tell the story of Vera Way Marghab and the successful international business she did there. It was a unique pleasure to work with her and several people in her company. Recently, we worked with the Charlevoix Library on their Oral Traditions project and filmed over 30 Charlevoix residents who had interesting stories to tell of the area and their time in the service in World War II."
