George and Margaret Bivens opened Pilgrim Recycling of Lexington in 1984 on Greensboro Street Extension . They opened the shop with only $100 building solenoid switches for vehicles. The business expanded into recycling all types of metals including aluminum, steel, alternators, starters, chrome & aluminum wheels, brass, copper, lead, batteries and more! Pilgrim Recycling has provided services for over 30 years.
