Pine Wind Zen Community / Jizo-an Monastery

Jizo-An Monastery in Shamong, New Jersey is a contemporay Zen-Buddhist Temple, Training and Educational Center, offering Zen meditation, weekly Dharma talks, Community, and programs on Zen-Buddhist teachings and Living a Meaningful Life-Living a Zen-Inspired Life. The Temple is a place where people can come to slow down, meditate, learn and experience the healing benefits of a quiet mind and a practicing community.

PWZC is home to Seijaku Roshi, Abbot and Founder of The Zen Society, a 501c3 non-profit organization NJ 1985, and the main house of The Order of the Great Lights.

Jizo-an Monastery/Pine Wind Zen Community is a Zen Buddhist Temple, training and educational center dedicated to the development of the relationship between traditional Zen-Buddhist training as it evolved in Japan, and Western Contemplative practices and traditions.

Since 2000 Jizo-an/Pine Wind has been a refuge for thousands of persons from all walks of life, cultures, and religious affiliations, offering a diversity of programs including training in (Zazen) Mindfulness Meditation, inspirational and educational seminar's and workshops, and Zen Training for home practitioners, and anyone seeking laity and monastic ordination.
