Pines Baptist Church

The Pines Baptist Church building was constructed over 100 years ago as a one room school house. The building hosted school for many children throughout the years. It wasn't until the 50s that the building became a church. The church is located across from Russell Cemetery with graves dating back to the American Revolutionary War. Stories have been told about revivals at Pines. People used to sit outside for revival service. People drove their wagons and horses to church. Times have changed but the appearance of Pines Baptist Church has not. People drive cars to church now but the hearts of these people have not. The church is made up of people who love each other and choose to do life together. We are one big family. Brother Whitt Wray is pastor of our church. Brother Ethan Sharp is youth pastor. Sunday morning consists of Sunday School at 10AM. The youth have a Sunday School classroom with a Cafe with Coffee, soft drinks, and muffins. The youth room also has a an XBOX for the youth during free time. Adult Sunday School is in the kitchen of the church. Sunday Morning Worship is at 11AM. Old time hymns are sang every Sunday Morning followed by Gods Word delivered by our pastor. Sunday nights begin at 5PM. The youth have service in the youth room while the adults have choir practice. Wednesday night Bible Study begins at 6:30PM. The youth are in the youth room and the adults are in the kitchen. We are simple people at Pines who love to be around each other. We really are family and would love for you to join us!
