Pittman’s Academy of Martial Arts has been serving the Lubbock community since 1991. Building the Lubbock community one Black Belt at a time.
Professor Pittman started his martial arts training at the age of six, beginning with Karate and Tae Kwon Do. By age seven-teen, he achieved a 3rd degree black belt and started his own Academy. Pittman was introduced to the art of Jiu-Jitsu by Royler Gracie, brother of the very famous Royce Gracie, and quickly became a dedicated student of Jiu-Jitsu. Mr. Pittman is now the highest ranking American student training under Professor Carlos Machado, receiving his 4th degree stripe in June 2011. Professor Pittman has proven a lifelong passion and dedication to the art, his instructors, and above all, his students.
With years of exceptional achievements as a foundation, Professor Pittman has built an honorable place for the community to experience the true spirit martial arts while upholding the importance of family, dedication and respect.
