The Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is an internatoinal service organization that serve men, women, children, international women, and the elderly. The sorority was founded on the simple belief that sorority elitism and socialization should not overshadow the real mission of progressive organizations: to address societal mores, ills, prejudices, poverty, and health concerns of the era. For over 96 years this organization has maintained the legacy and history of the founders and charter members of through Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.
The Alpha Alpha Epsilon Zeta Chapter (Pittsboro, NC) was chartered on November 26, 2013 in Pittsboro, NC. The chartering ceremony was held at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center in Durham, NC on December 15, 2013 by the Eastern Regional Director Soror T. Diane Surgeon, Esq. and North Carolina Eastern Director Soror Lakeshia Holley.
The charter members are Lois Douglass-Alston, Tyechia Culmer, Andrea Felder, Dina Martin, Theresa Moore, Brittney Nettle, and Crystal Sterling Simmons. The chapter is the first four-letter chapter in North Carolina and the fifth four-letter chapter internationally.
