The racial makeup of the CDP was 84.84% White, 11.59% African American, 1.04% Native American, 0.05% Asian, 1.59% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.02% of the population.There were 680 households out of which 38.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.6% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% were non-families. 21.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.68 and the average family size was 3.10.
