Planktown Hardware & More is definitely not your typical hardware store as you will quickly notice when you walk in the door and see the beautiful pine barn siding on the walls and the large wooden pergola featuring some of our newest items. Since the hardware opened just a few years ago in 2008, we have nearly doubled in size and in inventory! You will likely be greeted by Biscuit, a chocolate lab/customer service manager, or Stanley, a friendly gray cat who will probably follow you around the store.

Pets & Livestock: Biscuit and Stanley oversee the expansive pet department, featuring grain free pet foods, Natures Farmacy Dogzymes supplements, all natural shampoos, toys, and USA made treats. We also carry livestock supplies, including ADM feed, supplements, feeders, flat back buckets, horse halters, show sticks, medications, Red Lake diatomaceous earth, chick supplies, and more.

Garden & Yard: Our garden section is especially helpful in Spring and Summer, providing tools, fertilizers, heavy duty tomato cages, and organic pest control aids, as well as a large selection of seeds, bulk seed corn, vidalia onions (both plants and sets), sweet potato starts, and seed potatoes with emphasis on heirloom and hard-to-find varieties. We also carry the pond chemicals you need to keep your ponds clean and beautiful!

Cast Iron Cookware: There are Lodge cast irons skillets and dutch ovens, Blackstone Griddles, camping cookware, and large cast iron kettles with tripods. Plus let’s not forget the old-fashioned heavy duty cast iron pie irons just like you used growing up as a child.

Kitchen & Canning: The kitchen area has a large array of bakeware, stainless cookware, old fashioned Graniteware, and all kinds of fun cooking gadgets you didn't know you needed. We also have a large canning and preserving section that is stocked year round with a nice selection of pressure cookers and canners, cold pack/water bath canners, food dehydrators, and jars. We even have the cute little 4oz jars, great for baking cupcakes or mini cobblers.

Loose Leaf Teas: We have a huge selection of premium loose leaf teas and teaware. Choose from many delicious flavors of black, white, green, and oolong teas, as well as rooibos, yerba mate, honeybush, fruity herbals, chamomile, alfalfa, mint, dandelion, nettle, hibiscus, and special "Mama-to-be" blends. We are also a supplier of Dandy Blend, a delicious coffee substitute made from dandelion root and chicory.

Soapmaking, Lotion & Candle Supplies: One of our increasingly popular sections is our soapmaking supplies...everything you need to make handmade soaps, lotions, lip balms, and bath bombs. We also have the largest local selection of base oils, molds, colorants, essential oils, and fragrances to suit your fancy. Want to plan a "girls night out"? We offer classes on how to make all natural soaps and lotion.

Gifts: Looking for the perfect gifts for all the people in your life? Emergency Preparedness: Want to be more prepared for emergency situations? Hardware, Tools, and Paint: Of course, we also have the normal hardware home improvement items including Irwin tools, nuts and bolts, barn door hardware, Valspar paint with a complete line of paints and over 3,000 tint colors to choose from, as well as Rustoleum, Minwax, Old Masters, Formbys, Cabot, and Danish Wax, and all the sundries you need to go with them.

Fence: Fence supplies are also in large supply as this is the business that we are originally known for: Seaman's Custom Fence. From residential cedar, vinyl or chainlink to high tensile electric and woven wire farm fences, we have everything you need to make a beautiful, sturdy fence. We also do installation, if you'd rather not tackle it yourself.
