About us...
Platinum Studios is a Tax-Exempt NonProfit company that provides low cost and free dance lessons to children in Rochester and the surrounding area. In doing so we provide dance opportunities for children whose families may not be able to afford to allow their children to dance. We hope that by providing what we do we will in turn provide a safe, enjoyable environment for these children to pursue their passions. We also provide dance competition scholarships for the children who are wanting to move forward with their passion for the arts. The pageant sector of our company helps to build confidence in today's youth! We are all natural and do it simply for the fun of it! By offering a VERY low-cost pageant experience we enable nearly EVERYONE the opportunity to have some pageant fun! Everyone wins! While we had been successful for a year as a For-Profit company we decided that we wanted to make a difference in the lives of children and be something MORE than just the typical dance company.

Brittany Fenley decided to turn Platinum Studios into a nonprofit to honor her Great Grandmother Mary Kay Ash. Mary Kay, creator of Mary Kay cosmetics, instructed members of her family to use their wealth primarily for education, health, and to help others, and that is what Brittany has dedicated her life to doing... Much like her Great Grandmother.

Brittany felt there was a need for a nonprofit dance studio because other studios in the area could not offer dance instruction to most lower income families, and there were not any dance studios who could offer full scholarships for children to come and dance. Other studios also do a significant amount of upcharging for costumes, shoes, and other things. Platinum Studios does not up charge for anything, you will pay the exact price.

All funds received to Platinum Studios go toward paying the instructors and studio rent. Any extra funding that is received goes towards opening up even more scholarships to families who could use the extra help with tuition.

How can you help?
The best way for people to help us is to spread the word about us, we can't afford big fancy ads or commercials, so we rely a lot on word of mouth from people who love us!
We can always use volunteers at events, monetary donations, or even donations such as toilet paper and paper towels!
