The Pleasant Grove Joint Union School District (PGJUSD) is a single-school district that opened in the late 1800s on Howsley Road in Pleasant Grove. PGJUSD serves up to 220 students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade for the surrounding communities.
Many of our students' parents, grandparents and even some of our staff members, attended school here. We enjoy the benefits of being a central part of this close-knit, multi-generational farming community.
Although we have strong roots in the past, we are an educational progressive, high-quality school. We value strong fundamental, standards-based education while employing innovative, engaging teaching techniques to meet each student's learning needs and styles. Our vision is one of educational excellence and continuous learning for all.
Pleasant Grove students and staff all work hard and expect a lot of each other. Due to our small size, we are able to provide a unique educational experience. We were excited to have our hard work recognized by being named a California Distinguished School in 2008 and again in 2014, as well as receiving the Title 1 Academic Achievement Award. We recently were awarded the 2016 Gold Ribbon School Award as well as the Title I Achievement Award.
