We affirm that there can be no exclusiveness since we are taught in scripture that "all of you are one in Christ Jesus" (Gal. 3:28) and that "God shows no partiality" (Acts 10:34). We therefore invite all who seek a deeper spirituality and a closer community of faith.
We affirm that you are loved unconditionally by God. We are taught in scripture that nothing "in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 8:39). Nothing you have done or left undone is strong enough to separate you from God's love. And since you are loved by God, we love you, too.
We affirm that you are our neighbor. No matter what differences there may be between us -- race, gender, sexual orientation, creed, politics -- scripture teaches us to show neighborliness and mercy (Luke 10:25-37). We wish to be close to you, to know your pain, to share in your joy, to meet your needs, to build relationship with you, and build a community with you.
