Point of Rocks Train Station

Purpose of this page is to increase awareness of one of the most iconic train stations in America - that it is still standing - and ask you to give his page a 'Like' to indicate the number of people who also feel this historic structure is significanct.

This historic station is not opened to the public, but is currently used as an office and storage for Maintenance of Way for the building's owner CSX Transportation.
The rear of the current structure is the original building constructed sometime after 1872 for the new Metropolitan Line/new B&O Mainline directly to Washington, DC.

The front and iconic portion of the building was constructed sometime around 1876, from plans by B&O architect E. Francis Baldwin - to hearald rail traffic to the new Main Line to the Nation's Capital.
