Polk Township is a township in Monroe County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 6,533 at the 2000 census.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 31.4 square miles (81.4 km2), of which, 31.0 square miles (80.4 km2) of it is land and 0.4 square miles (1.1 km2) of it (1.30%) is water. It is drained by the Pohopoco Creek westward into the Lehigh River. Pohopoco Mountain forms its natural northern boundary.
