Pookie's RescueFest

Pookie's will be hosting its 7th annual fundraiser and adoption day to benefit local non-profit animal rescue groups on Saturday, January 24th, 2015.

Animals being abandoned and turned in to local shelters continue to be at an all-time high due to current economic conditions and this event seeks to increase awareness and promote adoption of homeless pets.

This year's event will feature 40 local rescue groups with many dogs and cats available for adoption. Over 70 service companies, many pet related, and manufacturers will be onsite offering information and education about their goods and services. Playground area, Swift Paws lure course, agility course, beer/wine garden & live music by Deep Bridges at the Venue on the Lake ~ Maitland Civic Center, great raffle prizes, live DJ entertainment and food truck court.

Attendees can also participate in our 1st Annual “Pawty Gras” Parade-guests and pets are encouraged to come in Mardi Gras themed costumes.

A fun-filled day for the whole family!

This year's event will be held in the park at Lake Lily and the adjoining Maitland Civic Center in Maitland, Fl.

Parking is available at the Civic Center and neighboring marked parking lots only. We appreciate your cooperation on the parking and we look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday the 24th of January at Pookie's RescueFest!
