POWER House

The POWER (People Organizing for Women's Empowerment & Rights) House, located next door to Reproductive Health Services, offers patients of RHS refuge from the protesters, a place for their companions to bring their children, and can assist with overnight accommodations for those who have to travel from hours away to obtain the healthcare that they need. (Please note that we can NOT offer childcare. Any children visiting the POWER House must be accompanied by a patient's companion.)

The POWER House helps the local community by hosting special events, educational classes, and serves as a safe space for all human rights organizations, which include LGBT and other marginalized groups.

In addition, the POWER House houses the offices of Montgomery Area Reproductive Justice Coalition (MARJCO), which offers volunteer support to Reproductive Health Services & patients of the clinic in need of abortion care services. We coordinate political outreach for women's & human rights issues in Alabama.
