Powerhouse Church of Jesus Christ

Powerhouse started in Raleigh, North Carolina with prayer meetings on the campus of Shaw University , and later moved to the home of Mother James on Lenoir Street. Next, the ministry moved to a storefront building on 317 East Martin Street and the church was there for 17 years receiving training for reigning. In December of 2000 we then moved to our current location at 1130 North Blount Street still in Raleigh, North Carolina.

We are a non-denominational church that governs ourselves by the New Testament Church. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit, by the Holy Spirit. We follow holiness in lifestyle and in character.

We believe as the Bible states that "All scripture is inspired by God, and is useful for teaching the truth, rebuking errors, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living, so that the people of God may be fully equipped to every good work."
