Pozitively Healthy

HealthHIV and a founding steering committee formed Pozitively Healthy in spring 2013 as a national advocacy coalition composed of people living with HIV (PLWH) and their allies, including friends and family, as well as leaders and advocates in the HIV/AIDS movement.

Mission: Pozitively Healthy seeks to bolster and advance the strong independent voice of the more than 1.2 million PLWHA in the United States, advocating for equitable access to the most advanced treatments treatment and other pressing issues impacting the HIV community in this new era of universal health care.

Oversight: Pozitively Healthy will be managed by HealthHIV and guided by a national steering committee (NSC) composed of PLWH and their allies. Together, Pozitively Healthy, with input from the NSC, will develop an advocacy and education agenda to address issues impacting PLWHA informed and aligned with the tenets of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).
