More about Praise Church of New Orleans

Praise Church is a Spirit-Filled, Full-Gospel church founded by Pastors Garland and Beverly Bilbo, that embraces the 5-Fold Ministry as it Demonstrates and Releases the Supernatural Power of God.

The Bilbos have served together in full-time ministry since 1987. Garland and Beverly are each ordained ministers of the Gospel who emanate "the heart of a pastor", as they reach out to the local church. They are also impacting our nation by ministering as featured guest speakers at conferences and/or revival meetings. The Bilbos have 21 years of experience from serving in pastoral ministry. They have served as Senior Pastors for 10 years. The Bilbos have authored and published insightful Christian books that have been circulated around the world.

The Bilbos are a family team ministry. Garland and Beverly have two powerfully anointed children, Brandon (25) and Bethany (21), who are each credentialed ministers who have been preaching for several years, in addition to being worship leaders and musicians. Brandon was married in April 2007 to Rachelle, who has also answered the call to the ministry, delivering the word in faith and power. This family in ministry serves as an inspiration to others regarding what God can and will do through a family that is completely dedicated to Him.

When Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Bilbos' church they had pastored in New Orleans for 8 years, God reminded them of prophetic words and promises He had birthed in their spirits, and confirmed through the years - that "together they would raise up other churches that would demonstrate the Supernatural Power of the Holy Spirit".

Hurricane Katrina was prophesied to them 5 weeks before it occurred by their friend, Prophet Kim Clement. The Bilbos' church, Praise Church of New Orleans, was inundated with 12 1/2 feet of flood waters that remained in the building for 3 1/2 weeks, destroying the facility and all of its contents. The Bilbos found themselves unemployed and homeless.
Two months later they began commuting to New Orleans from their temporary residences in Arkansas and later in Mississippi, so they could conduct services with the handful of members of their congregation that remained in the metro New Orleans area. To date, they continue to rent facilities in order to provide ministry to the residents of metro New Orleans.

In June of 2006 God provided an opportunity for the Bilbos to move back to South Louisiana, and they moved to Gonzales, LA. Shortly thereafter, God began to stir their hearts to establish a church there in Gonzales. In May of 2007 they purchased a building and began renovations to house their God-given vision for The Miracle Center.

The Bilbos are on a mission. Satan stole one church from them August 29, 2005, but according to the Scriptures, he MUST repay them a minimum of 7 times what he has stolen. In addition to pastoring Praise Church in metro New Orleans, the Bilbos will also pastor The Miracle Center in Gonzales. They will pursue the opening of additional Spirit-Filled, Full Gospel churches that will Demonstrate and Release the Supernatural Power of God everywhere God leads and provides for them to do so.

Two Churches Sharing the Same Vision
The Miracle Center is an extension campus of Praise Church of New Orleans and Bilbo Ministries.

Vision of Bilbo Ministries:
To perpetuate the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ and to Empower Individuals with the Knowledge, In-filling and Release of the Holy Spirit both as a person and as a gift to the Body of Christ.
To establish a minimum of seven church campuses that will Demonstrate and Release the Supernatural Power of the Holy Spirit. These churches will be positioned surrounding the metro New Orleans area and beyond. Possibly some may be located along the Gulf Coast.
