It all started with a fractured knee which developed into Complex Regional Pain Syndrome/RSD, brittle bone disease, Postural Orthostatic Tachychardia Syndrome (POTS), bleeding in the joints and Patella Femoral Syndrome. Walking is limited, medical appointments are weekly and the CRPS community is still seeking a cure.

After falling "while standing still" at a dodge ball game, Griffin shattered his knee and developed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome Type II. This has progressed into Stage II CRPS. As a result, he has Osteopenia and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia.

CRPS affects the systems of cognition; constitutional, cardiac, and respiratory complications; systemic autonomic dysregulation; neurogenic edema; musculoskeletal, endocrine, and dermatological manifestations; and urological and gastrointestinal function.

Side effects include hypersensitivity to medications, sounds, smells, & sunlight. The lightest touch/breeze, vibrations in the road & changes in temperature can feel like knives & burning fire inside the veins yet, the bones feel like they are freezing. "Treatment is complicated, involving drugs, physical therapy, biofeedback, spinal cord stimulation and is usually unsatisfactory, especially if begun late."

The similarities between multiple sclerosis and CRPS (which include symptoms of muscle twitching and tremors, wobbliness, falling, and visionary disturbances) have inspired research. Donations: paypal.me/crpskidz
