The President’s Park Greenhouse (PPG) is being being retrofitted for the purpose of growing and marketing high quality, specialty crops including lettuce, basil, cilantro, oregano, and assorted micro-greens. This will be done in the controlled environment of the greenhouse utilizing the soilless technology of hydroponic growing systems. This specific configuration of systems inside of the greenhouse is in response to an expressed desire by the Mason community for healthy, high quality, safe produce grown directly on Mason’s campus that will be served on Mason's campus.
