Pretty/Much Collective

Pretty/Much Collective + Not About Beauty collaborative mail art installations are meant to explore and compare basic concepts of beauty and the relativity of its meaning. Artists in the Collective address the theme as they see fit in producing 4 x 6 inch (approx 10 x 15 cm) hand-made postcards. Through 2013, the postcards will be on tour, exhibited in a variety of venues as three-dimensional house-of-cards installations and/or two-dimensional wall murals. In the end, the project will become an artist exchange with each artist receiving postcards by other artists.

Current Activity :: In April, 2011 PMC + NAB launched the US Tour and Beyond with a wall mural at Bottletree Cafe in Birmingham, AL. Through the months of July and August a wall mural at Space One Eleven (also in Birmingham) will be in a state transformation as it slowly changes into a house-of-cards. The process will be complete by Birmingham Art Walk, September 9 and 10.
